Galaxy S9 gets it’s very first firmware update

Also news on Galaxy S9 delivery updates for Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint and Samsung.

The Galaxy S9 first firm update is sized at 242 MB and is packed with the March 2018 security patch, bug fixes and more.  The build number for the two phones, the S9 and S9 Plus are G960FXXU1ARC5 and G965FXXU1ARC5 respectively. If you’d like to download the update manually go to Settings, Software update menu on an S9 or S9+. Source

Delivery updates for the S9 on Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint and Samsung looks like almost all will be delivered either Tuesday March 13 or Wednesday March 14.  Mine from Samsung personally arrives Wednesday, March 14.  AT&T still hasn’t shipped any phones out yet.  The photo above is from Kim Bridge who is in Australia and received her Galaxy S9+ and wireless charger today!!

Google has a 4.3″ OLED Display for Virtual Reality With a Pixel Density of 1,443 PPI, resolution of 5500 x 3000 and refresh rate of 120hz.  It will be announced at SDI in May. We don’t know if this product will be available this year or specifically when but like I said earlier we will know more in May. Source
